We collect and recycle Plastics Irish Polymers was formed in 1997 by Des Mullan and David Wilson primarily to introduce and develop plastic bottle collection systems throughout Ireland in conjunction with local Councils. Every year in Ireland approximately 50,000 tonnes of mixed plastic bottles are buried in landfill sites throughout the country. This equates to roughly 1 billion plastic bottles! Irish Polymers was formed to divert a significant amount of this material away from landfill and into new and useful second generation products.
